“Is your dream dead or just dormant?”

“Is your dream dead or just dormant?”

Ecc. 5:3 “A dream comes when there are many cares, and many words mark the speech of a fool.”

🤔I have thought so much about what causes the death of a dream.

As I have contemplated this I have come to some resounding revelations.

🗣️Could it be that the dream is not dead, but it is simply in metamorphosis?

🗣️Could it be that what you call dead is really causing you to realize that for the dream to happen you have to change?

🗣️Maybe the dream lost oxygen because you held everyone to a standard that you didn’t abide by. Or Maybe the dream you feel is lost just needs to be rediscovered in a different way.

🗣️You see a dream without structure, partnership and constant reimagining is just a disappearing idea.

🗣️Maybe you decided to walk away from the one’s that were called to walk the dream with you. You chased talent over grit and identity over purpose.

🗣️Maybe the dream ran out of breath because you suffocated it with drama and lack of hard work.

You see the dream isn’t dead. It is in hibernation. It just needs to be reawakened. But before you awaken it ask yourself these questions?

❓“Is God still in the midst of the dream?”

❓“How do I need to change?”

❓“Do I deserve a do-over?”

❓“Who do I need to reengage authentically?”

❓“Do I have another run in me?”

❓”How will my decision impact the generations to come?”

🖊️Once you answer those questions.

Then get out a paper and pen/ whiteboard and chart a new path.

‼️🪦Start with what you have and don’t keep visiting a cemetery of lost progress.

You see as Solomon said God gives the dream in the hard times he also said be a doer in Proverbs

Proverbs 14:23 says that "In all labor there is profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty"

Lastly, check your priorities. Don’t ask God to bless something built around self, but make it about advancing the Kingdom.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” – Colossians 3:23

Today take time to reflect! But don’t wait too long or someone else will discover your dream and run with it.
