“Is your dream dead or just dormant?”

“Is your dream dead or just dormant?”

Ecc. 5:3 “A dream comes when there are many cares, and many words mark the speech of a fool.”

πŸ€”I have thought so much about what causes the death of a dream.

As I have contemplated this I have come to some resounding revelations.

πŸ—£️Could it be that the dream is not dead, but it is simply in metamorphosis?

πŸ—£️Could it be that what you call dead is really causing you to realize that for the dream to happen you have to change?

πŸ—£️Maybe the dream lost oxygen because you held everyone to a standard that you didn’t abide by. Or Maybe the dream you feel is lost just needs to be rediscovered in a different way.

πŸ—£️You see a dream without structure, partnership and constant reimagining is just a disappearing idea.

πŸ—£️Maybe you decided to walk away from the one’s that were called to walk the dream with you. You chased talent over grit and identity over purpose.

πŸ—£️Maybe the dream ran out of breath because you suffocated it with drama and lack of hard work.

You see the dream isn’t dead. It is in hibernation. It just needs to be reawakened. But before you awaken it ask yourself these questions?

❓“Is God still in the midst of the dream?”

❓“How do I need to change?”

❓“Do I deserve a do-over?”

❓“Who do I need to reengage authentically?”

❓“Do I have another run in me?”

❓”How will my decision impact the generations to come?”

πŸ–Š️Once you answer those questions.

Then get out a paper and pen/ whiteboard and chart a new path.

‼️πŸͺ¦Start with what you have and don’t keep visiting a cemetery of lost progress.

You see as Solomon said God gives the dream in the hard times he also said be a doer in Proverbs

Proverbs 14:23 says that "In all labor there is profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty"

Lastly, check your priorities. Don’t ask God to bless something built around self, but make it about advancing the Kingdom.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” – Colossians 3:23

Today take time to reflect! But don’t wait too long or someone else will discover your dream and run with it.

The next move of God…

The Next move of God will be different!

In prayer I was overwhelmed with a desire to experience a NEW THING! I was taken to Psalm 51:17.

“My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.” Psalm 51:17.

This verse is often dismissed as David’s lament. Rather, it really is the next chapter of where we must all go. Please! Do not confuse, “contriteness”  with lack of boldness,  for it takes boldness  to boldly approach His thrown.

It is in humility and the shrinking back that we make room for Him!

I learned a long time ago that, “If the stage can seduce you; then God must reduce you.” You see,  God will not share the spotlight. All of heaven bows, even as we speak. God requires the undivided attention of his creation. When we finally do that… oh how everything changes.

My heart is stirred to say, that I truly believe, that the next move of God will be marked by a brokenness in His Presence. There, you will find joy once again (Ps 16:11) .

In this next move of God, there will be an overwhelming weakness in the site of God.  This will bring a response of “I must have Him; for nothing else matters mindset and deep heart surrendering.” This will also create a desire to crawl away from the world, culture, and the noise, to enter in the sweet hidden depths of a loving savior.

In this next move of God… no longer will the hype of superficial works get the job done. No, once you taste the Holy, it changes your spiritual DNA. Your excitement meter will only go off when He is near.

This next move of God will require only one thing! That one thing, is hunger. A hunger, a Matthew 5:16 hunger, that cannot be satisfied by platform, performance or platitudes. YES! It will be a holy call to know him and fellowship in His sufferings.

This move of God will not be wrapped in Nationalism or Politics, but rather the filth of the cross. You see, the cross in all of its indignity, is where we are called. You cannot be boisterous in the site of the cross. The cross requires naked submission to Him. It was here that Jesus became sin for me (2 Cor 5:21). It requires repentance and at the same time, fortitude, to protect the Holy! This will be a Roman’s 12:1 “living sacrifice” moment. It will not consist of green rooms and sales tables, but rather tear stained altars. Much like the saints of old we will learn that true rest only comes from being exhausted in His Presence.

This next move of God will assist the five-fold, but they will not harness the spotlight. No, it is He alone that owns the stage. Col. 1:17, “And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”

The next move of God will reduce men and women. The titles of who you were will be changed by a new season of who you are becoming. You cannot title spiritual metamorphosis. No! You will throw off titles to simply be known as a follower 1 Cor. 11:1 says, “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.”

Whom will this next move of God visit? It is simple, really. It will be those that possess the Psalm 51:17 spirit. It is promised that God cannot despise this. In other words it forces Him to engage. It is a hat in hand moment of simply saying, “Lord, I bring you me.” That’s it. No preconceived ideas of blessing or ritualistic platitudes. Just simply a presentation of me. Minus the title, the arrogance of years of ministry or the resume of proven value. Just Me! Me plus Him creates a fellowship unmatched by human touch.

Oh that this next move of God will come ever so quickly, but Heaven is waiting on me. Do it Lord. Start with me!
